Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager, you are entrusted with protecting the company's financial wealth through effective management and oversight of all accounting functions. You ensure accurate financial reporting, timely completion of audits, and adherence to regulatory requirements, particularly those specific to the Philippines. Your role involves developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Additionally, you lead and develop the finance team, driving operational efficiency and safeguarding the company's financial integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and bi-monthly payroll processing.

  • Review financial statements and reports, including monthly, mid-year, and annual statements.

  • Lead the monthly financial closing process, coordinating with finance teams in Cebu and Dumaguete to ensure accuracy.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, collaborating with various departments to align with company objectives.

  • Oversee the budgeting process for the Cebu and Dumaguete sites, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for long-term financial planning and strategy.

  • Present cost estimates and pricing strategies to support business development and client proposals.

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the CEO in presenting financial data to executives, stakeholders, and board members, providing strategic insights.

  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify risks, opportunities, and trends.

  • Manage company accounts and investments, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with financial goals.

  • Lead and motivate finance team members by setting clear roles and expectations and providing constructive feedback.

  • Equip the team with the necessary tools and technology to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Develop and review policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial operations.

Skills and Qualifications            

  • Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting practices.

  • Expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger activities, and payroll processing.

  • Ability to oversee financial operations, including tax reporting and financial statement preparation.

  • Capability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Experienced in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

  • Expertise in developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and tracking variances.

  • Ability to support long-term financial planning and strategy development.

  • Skilled in ensuring compliance with legal standards and mitigating financial risks.

  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of financial data.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Philippine accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax laws.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong understanding of Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgeting and forecasting processes, including developing and overseeing annual budgets.

  • Experience in overseeing payroll processing and ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required; however, candidates without a CPA but with strong managerial experience in finance are encouraged to apply.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.

30% Night Differential Pay

The standard night differential pay in the Philippines is 10%. Our rate is 2x higher than that of other companies.
