Health and Safety Officer

As our Health and Safety, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees by providing immediate medical assistance and conducting health assessments. You will also oversee occupational safety compliance, assist in safety inspections, and support the development of safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards. Additionally, you will provide essential administrative support, maintain clinic inventory, manage employee health records, and conduct routine floorwalks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Your contribution will be instrumental in promoting employee wellness and safety across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate medical assistance and first aid treatment to employees experiencing injuries or illnesses.

  • Conduct health assessments and screenings to monitor employee well-being and detect potential health issues early.

  • Coordinate with management to develop and facilitate health promotion programs and initiatives aimed at improving employee wellness and productivity.

  • Conduct training sessions for employees on topics such as CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures.

  • Act as a resource person for employees seeking advice or information on health-related concerns, offering support and guidance as needed.

  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary assistance and support.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of required reports and documentation to government agencies, such as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC).

  • Assist in conducting regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Support the coordination of emergency preparedness drills and exercises to ensure staff readiness in emergencies.

  • Maintain accurate records of clinic inventory, including medical supplies and equipment.

  • Document any health-related incidents or accidents that occur within the workplace, including injuries or illnesses.

  • Conduct regular inspections of office equipment and facilities during the shift to identify any issues or maintenance needs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work in the graveyard shift.

  • Knowledge of medical procedures, including first aid treatment and basic healthcare practices.

  • Understanding of health assessment techniques, medical terminology, and common illnesses and injuries.

  • Knowledgeable in developing and implementing health promotion initiatives, wellness programs, and disease prevention principles.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for educating employees and collaborating with healthcare providers.

  • Skill in delivering presentations, facilitating training sessions, and building rapport with employees.

  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and respond promptly to medical emergencies.

  • Proficiency in coordinating wellness programs, health screenings, and safety initiatives, and making sound decisions in medical emergencies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

  • Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license as a Registered Nurse.

  • BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) Training Certification or membership in OHNAP (Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines).

  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Company Nurse or in a similar healthcare role.

  • Experience in conducting health assessments, screenings, and administering first aid.

  • Familiarity with occupational safety and health regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Experience in coordinating with external healthcare providers and specialists.


30% Night Differential Pay

The standard night differential pay in the Philippines is 10%. Our rate is 2x higher than that of other companies.
