Information Systems and Technology Manager

Dumaguete, Philippines

As our Information Systems and Technology Manager, you'll lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise-wide IT systems and infrastructure. Your role involves crafting data management protocols, aligning IT solutions with business needs, and providing technical support. You'll also manage infrastructure, optimize networks, handle client/vendor relationships, and department budget, and lead our IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise-wide information systems and document management systems.

  • Develop and enforce data management policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of organizational data.

  • Coordinate with department heads to understand their information system requirements and align IT solutions with business needs.

  • Plan, design, and implement scalable and resilient IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, cloud environments, and virtualization platforms.

  • Optimize network infrastructure performance through capacity planning, load balancing, and traffic management techniques.

  • Monitor and manage cloud services and resources, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements and cost optimization strategies.

  • Design, configure, and optimize the company's network infrastructure, including firewall, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and content filtering.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, escalations, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing structures with vendors to optimize value and minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, allocating resources effectively to support strategic objectives.

  • Conduct cost and benefit analysis to evaluate IT investments and initiatives, making recommendations for optimization.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of information systems management principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure management, including server, storage, and cloud environments, and virtualization technologies.

  • Strong grasp of network management concepts, such as firewalls, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Familiarity with IT compliance requirements, such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and GDPR.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee IT initiatives from inception to completion.

  • Capacity for strategic thinking and long-term planning to support organizational growth and objectives.

  • Effective leadership and team management skills, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing IT professionals.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; master's degree preferred.

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), PMP (Project Management Professional), and CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are highly preferred.

  • Familiar with Mikrotik Devices, Grandstream, and Ubiquiti devices.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information technology or related fields, with a focus on information systems management, infrastructure management, and network operations.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing IT projects, teams, and initiatives.

  • Demonstrated expertise in providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, with responsibility for team management, performance evaluation, and professional development.


30% Night Differential Pay

The standard night differential pay in the Philippines is 10%. Our rate is 2x higher than that of other companies.
